On June 12, the International Energy Agency's Coal Industry Advisory Board (CIAB) released its annual thematic report, China's impressive strides towards carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), in Paris, France. CHN Energy's GD Power Development participated as a primary author in the report's compilation.
The report highlights key projects, including GD Power's 150,000-ton/year coal-fired CCUS demonstration project in Jinjie, showcasing China's technological achievements in CCUS for coal-based energy sources. Throughout the year-long drafting process, GD Power's technical team contributed to data verification and technical reviews, ensuring the report's quality.
This report incorporates GD Power's CCUS project into the IEA's global database, bolstering China's voice in the international discourse on low-carbon transition for coal-based energy. GD Power pledged to continue advancing low-carbon retrofits and technological innovation in coal-fired power.
